The two Super Group semifinal matches at Dallas Cup XXXVIII went into the final minutes before a winner would be determined as both FC Dallas and CF Monterrey notched late winners.  The two will face off on Sunday evening for the coveted Super Group title in Frisco, Texas.

CF Monterrey 2  Tigres 1
In the opening semifinal Mexican powers Tigres and CF Monterrey went head to head in a back and forth affair.  Tigres took the lead in the 19th minute as Luciano Augusto found the net.  CF Monterrey evened the match in the 33rd off a set piece as William Sergio Mejia Castillo headed home.  The match looked destined for overtime until Jose Misael Dominguez Gonzalez curled home a wonderful winner.

FC Dallas 2 Cortiba 1
The host side came out on the front foot pushing Cortiba deep into their own end earning several corner kicks in the opening 15 minutes of play. They had nothing to show for it though and the game went scoreless to the break.  The second half was uneventful until the match sprung to life in the final 15 minutes of play.  In the 80th minute, Cortiba made the mistake of backing off Jesus Ferriera at the top of the 18 giving him room to fire a shot on goal. It was perfectly placed just inside the post giving FCD the 1-0 lead.  Cortiba would answer back in the 87th though as they put home a 25 yard freekick to tie it up. FC Dallas had a bit of magic left in them though as a wonderful Jesus Ferreira flick put Paxton Pomykal in for a smart finish and a place in Sunday's Dallas Cup Super Group Final.
