Good news has arrived for DeAndre Yedlin.  The Seattle Sounders defender has been awarded a UK work permit that clears the way for his transfer to Tottenham of the English Premier League.  The speedy right back is hoping to force his way into the Spurs lineup this spring.  With Tottenham still alive in both domestic cups, as well as having EPL and Europa matches on the schedule, there will be plenty of chances for Yedlin to get minutes.

The 21 yr old is taking the month off enjoying the offseason after a year that saw him debut to raves at World Cup 2014 where he provided an eye opening impact off the bench. He also celebrated a Supporters Shield, a US Open Cup triumph and the US Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year award.  DeAndre has been an MLS All Star both his years in the league.

Sprus coach Mauricio Pochettino is thrilled to see Yedlin at the club and said "DeAndre is a young player with great potential who has already achieved a lot in MLS. It is important for his development that he is given the time to adapt to his new surroundings both on and off the pitch and we believe that by coming to us in January it will give him the best opportunity to do so."
