Tottenham to face MLS All Stars in Denver

Major League Soccer today announced that English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have accepted an invitation to play the MLS All Star squad Wednesday July 29th at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado.  It will be a part of a summer tour for the English side with more matches to be announced at a later date.  Tottenham will not be competing in the annual International Champions Cup played across the United States this summer that will include the likes of Manchester United, Paris St Germain, Chelsea and Barcelona.

The MLS All Star game has become an annual soccer event in the USA as every year it features a world power facing off against the best that our domestic league has to offer.  The MLS All Star Team might be a little thin this summer though as the All Star Game will take place during the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition that will most likely draw upon some of the American stars playing in the MLS.  Tottenham should bring young rising star Harry Kane along with the likes of Christain Eriksen, Paulinho and Hugo Lloris.

It also means Deandre Yedlin will be making the trip back to the states in a Tottenham jersey.  It also means that American Under 20 National Teamer Cameron Carter-Vickers could make the trip as well fresh off an appearance as a center back for the USA at the Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.
