Opening weekend in the MLS went swimmingly well.  Monster crowds.  Entertaining soccer.  Plenty of goals.  The beasts of the Western Conference opened in style with the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders putting in impressive performances.  Jozy Altidore made a splash in leading Toronto FC to victory.  Kaka grabbed a late equalizer for Orlando City and Blas Perez lifted FC Dallas at the death.

LA Galaxy 2 Chicago Fire 0
Business as usual for the Galaxy as they opened without the retired Landon Donovan.  No worries though as Robbie Keane showed he is still the man.

DC United 1 Montreal 0
After their wonderful CONCACAF Champions League performance the Impact limped to an opening loss to DC.  Jairo Arrieta with the winner.

Toronto 3 Vancouver 1
Jozy. Jozy. Jozy.  Mr' Altodore scored twice on his debut lifting TFC to a nice road win.

FC Dallas 1 San Jose 0
Blas Perez with the goal in the 92nd minute to rescue FCD from a bad home result.

Houston 1 Columbus 0
The new look Dynamo grab a season opening win as they look for a much better 2015.

Orlando City 1 NYC FC 1
Kaka to the rescue as he salvaged a draw after a Mix Diskerud goal.  Over 62,000 on hand!

Seattle Sounders 3 New England 0
One word for this none. Smash.  The Revolution slump out of the gates against Dempsey, Martins and company.  Clint Dempsey with two goals in front of 40,000.

Sporting KC 1 New York Red Bull 1
Ten man SKC held on for a home draw.  NYRB clearly missing Thierry Henry while DAvid Villa made no impact.

Onward to week 2!
