The Manchester United Nightmare Continues

Things are quickly going from bad to worse for new boss David Moyes and Manchester United.  We all knew it would be difficult to replace Sir Alex Ferguson, but I doubt few could have seen this coming.  With so much talent on hand sitting 9th at this stage of the season is a shock for sure.

Newcastle were the latest to heap trouble on the Moyes side.  Midweek we saw Everton go into Old Trafford and win for the first time in 21 years.  Today we watched as Newcastle visitied Old Trafford and won a league match for the first time since 1972!

A second half goal from Yohan Cabaye provided the difference for a Newcastle side that showed little fear in the usually unfriendly confines of Old Trafford. Even an apparent equalizer from the once brilliant Robin Van Persie could not rescue the home side.  A correct call by the linesman brought the goal back and ManU were onward to defeat.

That makes a whopping five losses for United this season alone and a team that only has a pair of draws to show for their last four matches.  Unacceptable.  After the midweek loss Moyes said his team needed some luck.  Sorry coach, a team with that much talent and that big a budget should not be asking for luck to win matches.

They have also dropped points at home to two "lesser" squads that sit above them in the table.  Six point swings.  The season is a loss already and we haven't even reached Christmas yet.  Can David Moyes get this ship righted?
