The David De Gea Show as Manchester United roll

Call this game either way you like.  As a Liverpool fan you will rue the golden chances wasted.  As a Manchester United fan you'll call it the David De Gea show.  Either way you won't see many 3-0 score lines like this.

Liverpool failed to finish and Manchester United made them pay.  Raheem Sterling ran wild, but David De Gea stoned him every time.  Efficiency was the key.  Man U made their attacks count while Liverpool played a prettier game to no reward.

Wayne Rooney put the home side ahead in the 12th minute only thirty seconds after Sterling wasted a great chance at the other end.  Antonio Valencia easily beat two Liverpool defenders on the right wing before playing a perfect pass for Rooney to lash home.

The second goal came just before halftime via a well offside Juan Mata.  Not even close.  The linesman obviously missed the flick from Robin Van Persie and failed to flag.  Any way around it, Liverpool went to the break down 2-0.  Could Balotelli rescue the visitors after the restart?

Nope. Instead of Balotelli saving the day it was more of David De Gea saving shots.  It got to the point of ridiculous as he stopped Mario Balotelli on numerous occasions while turning aside anther Raheem Sterling chance.  Meanwhile, every opportunity ManU got on the other end was dangerous.

Robin Van Persie made it 3-0 and the match was dead and buried other than to watch the wonderful goalkeeping/shoddy finishing.  The win makes it a run of six straight for Manchester United who have worked their way up into third place.  Liverpool slump to another less than stellar result leaving them in stuck in ninth.
