EPL Third Weekend Winners & Losers

Week three in the Barclays English Premier League featured the stalemate.  Ties all around as a whopping six matches ended in a draw including the marquee Arsenal v Liverpool clash.  Chelsea finally got in the win column despite a red card to captain John Terry.  After three weeks I think we are finally seeing the winding down of Terry's Chelsea career.  Meanwhile, Manchester City roll on with a look of invincible. Here are the winners and losers from week three in EPL play.

The Winners ---
1. Manchester City - Focused and dominant.  Perfect in three and have yet to even concede a goal.  I know we are only three weeks in, but it just doesn't look like City has a match in the EPL this year.

2. Bournemouth - A wild win, but a win nonetheless.  Blow a two goal lead then win a 4-3 thriller over West Ham. Every win is gold when trying to stay up. Callum Wilson welcome to the EPL.

3. Liverpool - Solid point on the road at Arsenal. They'll need these kind of results to grab a Champions League place at the end of the year.

Treading Water ---
1. Tottenham - Two points from three is not getting it done. Not good to be in catchup mode after only three matches but the Spurs are.  Harry Kane where are you?

2. Stoke City - Touted as a potential surprise team this year Stoke have yet to garner a victory. Shaqiri with a solid debut, but more expected from this squad.

3. Arsenal - missed a chance to claim a quality scalp at The Emirates as they were held to a scoreless draw by visiting Liverpool.

The Losers ---
1.  Swansea - couldn't beat lowly Sunderland.  Enough said.

2. Manchester United - The offense is still missing in action and not getting three points at Old Trafford against Newcastle is unforgivable.  Two points lost that might haunt at the end of the year.  Anyone seen Wayne Rooney?
