Chelsea and Tottenham with impressive wins

Both frontrunners won impressively on Sunday afternoon as Chelsea and Tottenham grabbed another three points.  It's clearly a two team race for the English Premier League title as the two have left the rest of the pack in the dust.  Chelsea have a much easier schedule over the final four matches compared to the chasing Tottenham.

Harry Kane and Deli Alle were on target as Tottenham took care of floundering Arsenal at White Hart Lane.  If it weren't for an in form Petr Cech in the Gunners goal the scoreline would have been much worse.  Spurs are only one result away from a perfect home season which they have not achieved since way back in 1960s.  The loss leaves Arsenal stuck in 6th and pretty much adrift of a Champions League place for next year.

Time is running out for Spurs though as they still trail leaders Chelsea by four points.  Chelsea had their own fine performance on the day as they travelled to Goodison Park and dispatched 7th placed Everton.  After a scoreless opening half Chelsea took control after the restart. Goals from Pedro, Gary Cahill and Willian provided the 3-0 victory moving the Londoners ever closer to the EPL title.  With only Middlesbrough, West Brom, Watford and Sunderland on the schedule it's hard to find where Chelsea will drop points.

At the bottom of the table Sunderland and Middlesbrough look headed down with the main drama left to be played out between Swansea and Hull.  The Swans trail Hull by two points to decide the final club to be relegated. Elsewhere zeros were the taste of the weekend as nine EPL teams failed to find the net and were shutout.  The Southampton-Hull and Stoke-West Brom games ended in scoreless snoozers.
