Real Madrid to face Atletico for Champions League title

Once again we have a Madrid Derby to decide the Champions League as Real Madrid and rivals Atletico Madrid both won their semifinal battles to advance to the grand final in Milan, Itlay. The two sides met in the 2014 final with Real Madrid taking the spoils. They would have to be favorites once again this time around.

Do not count out Diego Simeone's feisty Atletico boys. They have a stout defense and the dangerous attacking duo of Antoine Greizmann and Fernando Torres.  Anything can happen as we saw in Munich where Atletico snuck out victors thanks to an away goal from Griezmann in the second half.  The two legged matchup ended 2-2 with the away goal being the difference.  Bayern Munich were heartbroken as the bossed the the game but were unable to find the final goal they needed to push them past the plucky visitors.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid took care of Manchester City at home after a scoreless opening match in England.  A deflected cross from Gareth Bale found its way over Joe Hart and into the net providing the only goal in three hours of play between the two sides.  Real Madrid were the better side though and were deserving of advancement to the Milan Final.

The question is just how this Champions League final plays out.  Can Real Madrid stretch the field and pull Atletico into bad places.  On the other hand Atletico knows Real Madrid quite well. They'll try to make the game be played at their pace rather than the run and gun Real style.  The longer the game goes 0-0 the better for Atletico Madrid.  They'll look to sneak a goal through Griezmann or Torres and then sit and frustrate Real Madrid.

The big wildcard is what happens to Diego Simeone?  There is a very real chance he is not allowed on the sidelines after his behavior in Munich. That would be a huge blow to his team as his fiery antics clearly push Atletico forward in tough matches.  On the other sideline Zinedene Zidane has Real Madrid looking like champions
