Lionel Messi put all the press hinting at him be unsettled at Barcelona away as he notched his second hat trick of the week.  Barcelona blasted as overmatched Apoel squad 4-0.  Meanwhile, Chelsea enjoyed their German vacation as they crushed Schalke 5-0 in grand fashion winning Group G.

Group E -
Bayern Munich have run away from the group having already clinched the top spot.  Not even a loss on home soil to Manchester City can dull that.  The rest of the group is wide open as Roma, Man City and CSKA Moscow are all on 5 points. Only 1 of the 3 will advance. Roma lost a golden opportunity as they allowed a late CSKA equalizer in a 1-1 draw in Moscow. On the final matchday Manchester City travels to Roma while Bayern Munich hosts CSKA Moscow.

Group F -
It's a two team race as PSG leads Barcelona 13-12.  Both Ajax and Apoel are fighting for the Europa spot.  It all comes down to December 10th when Paris St Germain visits Barcelona.  A draw for PSG will be enough while Barca must win to take the group.

Group G -
Chelsea wrapped up the group with a resounding 5-0 smashing of poor Schalke yesterday.  Sporting Lisbon jumped over Schalke into 2nd place thanks to their win over Maribor.  In the final matchday Schalke will need to take care of Maribor and hope Chelsea beats Lisbon in London.

Group H -
All is settled here.  FC Porto has won the group while Shakhtar Donetsk are firmly in 2nd place.  Athletic Bilbao and BATE Borisov are fighting for the Europa League position. Advantage to Athletico as they will only need a draw on home soil.
